It's a great, big world out there. Rarely do we get a powerful sense of connection to the magnitude of that, to the sheer volume of information, transaction, or engagement happening beyond our direct experience. The TV array offers a curated experience of both volume and diversity. It can offer us multiple viewpoints on current events, or it can be thematically arranged (french speaking only today...), or it can maximize scope and diversity, but the experience is one of breadth and volume.
